The medieval city of Bruges is about 245 kilometres from Schiphol – around 2 hours 45 minutes by road via Antwerp and Ghent. It is also the gateway to Zeebrugge, a major cruise port on the Belgian coast.
Combining Bruges and Ghent
Bruges and Ghent are less than an hour apart, and many visitors see both. Add Ghent as a stop on the way from Schiphol, or book a separate transfer between the two cities – the price is calculated for the exact route before you pay.
Historic centre and Zeebrugge
Bruges’ historic centre inside the canal ring has strict traffic circulation rules and many pedestrian streets. Your driver takes the permitted route and drops you as close as possible to your hotel. Cruise passengers can book directly to their ship’s terminal in Zeebrugge, around 15 kilometres north of Bruges – enter the terminal name given by your cruise line.
