Leiden, the oldest university city in the Netherlands, is around 30 kilometres from Schiphol along the A4 – usually a 20 to 30 minute drive. It is a popular base for academic visitors, biotech professionals and travellers visiting the bulb fields.
University, LUMC and Bio Science Park
We regularly drive visitors to Leiden University buildings, the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) and companies at the Leiden Bio Science Park next to Leiden Centraal. The historic centre has narrow streets; your driver will use the nearest accessible drop-off.
Keukenhof and the bulb region
In spring, Keukenhof gardens in Lisse (between Schiphol and Leiden) are open for a limited season, usually from late March to mid-May. You can book a transfer directly to Keukenhof or add it as a stop on the way to your hotel – check the official Keukenhof website for this year’s opening dates and ticket requirements.
